1978 (9th June) Brisbane to Ballina & return on Qantas "William Lawson" with 18c Kingsford Smith tied by Brisbane 50th Anniv First Trans-Pacific flight pictorial pmk. Typed endorsement & 2 cachets incl one in mauve for the crew. Signed by the Capt., Flight Officer, Engineer & Hostess plus Ernie Crome. Only 25 examples of these were carried with 5 going to the crew members. Incls a copy of the letter from Ron Cuskelly of the A.H.S.A to Crome regarding the flight. AAMC 1846c.
