Germany 1910 (19th Oct) Baeumenheim Bavaria of Aero Club of Augsbourg inscribed "Balloon" postcard addressed to Melbourne. The sender states "Our first ascension in a balloon with Hylda was Frankfurt from 10am to 5pm. We landed on top of a tree. Then went up again to land balloon very smoothly in a field." A particularly early aerial incident & the only recorded example of the postcard to Australia. Some corner creasing but scarce example. Ex Perry (plate 5)
