South Africa-Cape of Good Hope 1901 (2nd May) 1d COGH pmkd Simonstown on env addressed to Dyatalalawa POW camp in Ceylon. Sent via Natal, it was opened by censor with "CENSOR PRISONERS OF WAR BELLEVUE" cachet in mauve. Re-sealed by pink ER crown "OPENED UNDER MARTIAL LAW" tab. A rare cover from this period in good cond.
