Ephemera Collection entitled "Tattersalls & the Post Office" with sweepstake application forms for 1899 racing events incl The Melbourne, Caulfield & Silver City Cups & the Grand National Hurdle Race & a list of "Tattersalls Monster Consultations Prize Winners for Races between Sept 1892 & Mar 1899" (a little silverfish damaged) plus "Hints to Intending Subscribers" double sided pamphlet dated June 1899 (excellent cond) & 2 pictorial stamps with private "A" perfin of Tattersalls in Tasmania with 3 KGV stamps with the "Tatter-Salls" rubber stamp on reverse. Also a rare 1904 Tattersalls cover to Kanowna WA, "Unclaimed" & sent to Perth Dead Letter Office before being forwarded to Dead Letter Office with Tas. 2d pictorial perfined "A" tied & by Hobart cds. As per usual, clean with closed spike holes. 20 items of inward mail from 1901-1968 noting 2 local 1905 covers from Richmond & Zeehan & 4 WA covers from Fremantle 1901, Broomehill 1904, Greenbushes & Fremantle 1907. Also covers from Vic with "censored RAAF" cachets dated 1946 x 3. Continues with 6 covers from Papua - New Guinea, Port Moresby 1949, Wau 1950, Madang 1949, Lae 1949, Rabaul 1949 & Kavieng 1850 plus 2 1944 & 1950 covers posted to "Tatts c/- Geo Adams, Melbourne, Victoria". One to build on & develop to become a "winning" collection!!
