Great Britain 1840 QV Line Engraved SG 1-5 selection, comprising 1d black Plate 1b lettered "IE" & "PG" both with “constant varieties”, "ML" & "MF" with inserted wmks, Plate 2 "DG" displaying "double D” & "ME" with double "M” with ruby Maltese Cross cancel & Plate 4 "FG" “bluete paper” lettered ”PC" unused but re-gummed (Cat £13,000 as mint). Also Plate 6 "DB" with watermark inverted before "JL" cancelled by the Norwich Maltese Cross, "TE" on “bluete paper”. Incls Plate 7 "KH-KI" pair & Plate 8 "BH", "JB" & "JC" all with “original re-entry” flaws, Finally, a Plate 9 "BI" & an 1840 2d blue Plate 1 lettered "JI" with inverted wmk (Cat £6,000.
