1912 Rhein am Main semi-official postcard with special "Flugpost am Rhein u .am Main Darmstadt 12.6.12" cachets tying 5pf Germania & 10pf brown red. The "Schwaben" made its first flight on 20 July 1911 & in the following 11 months made 218 flights & carried 1553 passengers. It was destroyed by wind & fire on 28 June 2012 at Dusseldorf when caught in a violent storm after unloading her passengers.
