York Paid PDx 28. 1923 Friday 25th January edition of the "Eastern Districts Chronical" printed in York WA for circulation "Throughout the York Electorate". Sent postally & cancelled with York Paid Type PDx 28 in black ink. Note: Usage of this postal marking is recorded in purple ink from 3-01-56 & in red ink from 19-03-63 to 12-06-63 in both PMI & PMC. It is not recorded in black in either publication. The date on this item precedes the recorded dates by some 33 years. A delicate aged document but still intact & legible. Please view with care. A great piece of social & philatelic history.
