1939 (4th Sept) Daily Express original newspaper with leading headline, "U-BOAT TORPEDOES BRITISH LINER" reporting on the sinking of the "Athenia" with other sub-headings, "Hitler Goes to Polish Front" & "Winston Back - He if First Lord: Eden is new Dominions Secretary". A fascinating piece of WWII social history. Rare survivor in good cond & complete with back page dedicated to photos from "Eleven O'clock Sept. 3 1939".
