Great Britain collection 1840 1d blacks x 9 incl 1 on piece all good to F/U with clear margins on majority. Plates 1a, 1b (2), 2 (2), 6, 9 & matching 1d red pl. 8 pair, 1840 2d blue, 1841 pl. 4 F/U with huge margins, 1/- embossed on piece with 2d blue cancelled with 114 sqaure barred, 1d reds imperf & perf incl multiples, F/U plate nos., ½d plate nos incl. pl 1 on piece with 1d, 1½d x 3, good to F/U surface printed incl shades, 1865 3d rose, neat EC23 on 1872 6d chestnut, unused 5/- rose (faults), F/U PLYMTON on 1880 4d grey-brown, 1881 6d grey F/U with very neat “159” (Glasgow) Scottish numeral cancel, 1883/84 2/6d (4) & 5/- (3), lilac & greens & Jubilee to stunning 1/- with ABINGDON central cds. KEVII to 5/- with shades & printers. Some superb cds used examples, KGV incls MLH, used Seahorses to 5/- (3), 1939/48 KGVI to £1 MLH (excl dark blue) & F/U, Festival to £1 MLH, QEII Pre-decimal incl Castles to £1 & all phosphors. Some Officails & Postage Dues also noted. Mixed cond in places but an enjoyable lot for further study with a massive catalogue value. Careful inspection recommended.
