1888 4d red-brown compound perf. with right selvedge, wmk Crown over double-lined A. Mixed single line perf. 12.4 & 11. MLH. Not listed in SG. ACSC W38, Cat. $3000 (2004). Cat states "The only recorded example of No. W38 is a mint stamp from the final printing, perf. 12.4 all round with line of perf. 11 at left & right". This implies that stamps may exist from the same sheet line perf. 12.4 all round but none have been reported. This second example substantiates this theory.
