USA 1924 (Apr-Sept) First Aerial Circumnavigation of the Globe by members of the US Army Air Service. This was carried on the preliminary stage from Santa Monica (CA) to Seattle (WA). Franklin 1ยข postal card with "Around the World Flight United States Air Force" & "Santa Monica Cal Cloverfield 1924 First Leg Seattle Wash" cachets plus "Douglas World Air Cruisers Liberty Motor 400hp Biplane" cachet on reverse. Minor blemishes not detracting. Ex Frommer.
