Fiji 1925 (25th Aug) Suva, Fiji to San Francisco, USA with 3 x 1d KGV tied by Suva cds's. Sent by ship to San Francisco where the previously purchased 8c & 16c US Airmails are tied by San Francisco duplex, the adhesives paying for the internal airmail delivery to Pennsylvania (3 zones). One of only 2 examples known, the other addressee illustrated in Jones at page 14. A very rare example of the arrangement between the US Post Office & several foreign countries where US Airmail stamps were stocked & could be purchased to pre-pay for internal airmail delivery.
