1935 (23rd Oct) Oroville to Port Moresby registered cover inscribed "First Airmail From Oroville Camp Upper Fly River to Port Moresby Papua Short Scion Seaplane VHUUP" with 3d Lakatoi ovptd "Air Mail" & 3d pictorial tied by Port Moresby 25 OC 35 arrival cds. Pilot signed by S Campbell & passenger J Ward Williams. Also Cecil H. Cowley as OIC at Oroville Police Camp. Incls original letter from Williams describing his experiences with Campbell incl "This may never reach you after all, Campbell just tells me he thinks the starboard engine is going to "Burst" like the last one before - very cheerful."
