1943 (14th July) Qantas Catalina flight Airgraph accompanied by Army News cutting publicising "first Airgraph mail" stating that total weight of 23,246 letters on 16mm film was under 6lb, compared with 540lb that ordinary mail of the same quantity would have weighed. This Airgraph is pmkd GPO Adelaide Air 14 July 1943 from a mother to son who is serving in the RAAF in Europe. AAMC 956
