1942 (22nd Jan) Melbourne to Bombay long folded censored cover. According to Proud this cover would have been on service WS160 which left Sydney on 25th Jan 1942 by Horseshoe flight out of Australia. 1d QM & 1/- Lyrebird tied by light Air Mail Section 22 JAN 1942 cds. with "Passed by Censor" tying Opened By Censor tape at left. Bombay GPO 7 FEB 42 b/s's. (Ref: E.B. Proud "Intercontinental Airmails"). Worn cond but rare.
