1940 (14th June) USA to Melbourne via Hong Kong by Pan Am Clipper cover. Censor tape & triangular "Passed Censor Hong Kong" in bluish green & boxed "Passed by Censor V58" cachets. US 70ยข franking tied by New York cds's. After Hong Kong by Imperial Airways to Bangkok & Singapore before Qantas to Australia. This North Pacific mail service ceased the following month when the new PAA route via NZ commenced. Some edge wear.
