1930 (22nd Dec) Calcutta to Cape Town attempted flight. Attractive cover with 1a KGV tied by Delhi cds & Health stamp tied by Gipsy Moth Sunita cachet (another on reverse) & "Dum Dum .. Delhi Pilot Abul M. Murad". Signed by Murad. The Aga Khan had offered a £500 prize to the first Indian to make the solo flight to the Cape. Murad's flight ended when he crashed into old war trenches upon landing in Shaibah, Iraq on 1st Jan 1931. One of only 6 carried. Exc cond.
