1941 (2nd Feb) New Caledonia to Australia Catalina PBY flying boat delivery from the US for the RAAF. This cover flown by Lester Brain from Noumea to Sydney has New Caledonia 25f pair tied by Noumea cds with neighbouring 1d AIF tied by GPO Sydney Air arrival cds. Addressed & signed by PG Taylor who was the navigator on this flight. Very light staining. Only 18 carried. Sold by SG in 1999 for $270. AAMC 915 Cat. $450
