Military Mail 1941-1945 Censored cover/card collection with mostly incoming mail to Charters Towers & Perth from Middle East, India, Malaya & S.Africa. Wide variety of A.I.F. Base cancels with inserts identifying locations in many cases. Noted NZ 9d on 1941 cover from Egypt, similar cancel tying 9d platypus, stampless "FIELD POST OFFICE 544 (Palestine) & a few redirected items with instructional markings. Also odd HM Ship items incl one with GB 3d & 1/- tied by RECEIVED FROM H.M. SHIPS on airmail cover, two from 3rd BDE HQ P3 "Kilo 89" Syria on "Sailors and Soldiers Church of England Help Society" logo covers. Good range of AIF FIELD P.O. Nos 17, 18, 19 (Malaya), SP501 (Singapore) & 29 (Johore) from late 1941 (pre-Jap invasion).
