1812 (15th Aug) typed letter from Liverpool to USA with full brown arrival, Boston Mass. Oct 5 & stamped "SHIP". Upon arrival in Boston received m/s "12" for transport to Providence R.I. The senders Hughes & Duncan are evidently a shipping agent & typed a master copy then mailed an urgent copy to all their correspondent overseas clients. Rare comments on various British battles, under Wellington, against the French, with reference to Napoleon & numerous famous generals. Fine cond.
