1938 (27th Nov) Empire Airways Flying Boat Calpurnia Crash cover in Iraq on route to Perth from London. This cover addressed to New Zealand (said to be 46 mail bags) which whilst was water damaged was thoroughly dried out & forwarded accordingly. Unlike Perth mail only a red cachet was applied reading "DAMAGED BY WATER IN TRANSIT FROM LONDON". Remarkably undamaged with only minor staining.
