Comprises (1) proprietary cover (red on buff) bearing 1½d KGV tied by Hobart machine cancel of 20 SEP 27 & slogan "COMMONWEALTH ROLLS REMEMBER CORRECT ENROLMENT COMPULSORY" addressed to Mathinna (Tas); (2) Singer Sewing Machine Company receipt for £24 bearing Tasmania 3d duty stamp; (3) advice on use of correct oil etc; (4) Photo of "The Singer Needle Threader" & (5) Address to purchaser thanking "for your patronage" & recommending "you use only the genuine..." etc & finishing "...bad oil clogs the machine and imitation needles cause the machine to miss stitches". A rare & complete snippet of "social history". Most attractive.
