Canada Airmails/First Flights 1928-1932 selection incl 1928 Jubilee Flight Toronto-Quebec with Canadian National Exhibition machine cancel tying 5¢ McGee, 1928 New York-Montreal bearing 5¢ oil well & lozenge cachet in violet, 1928 FFC Montreal-Albany, then all internal flights from 1929, many separate A-B & B-A e.g. Kingston-Montreal, Montreal-Kingston separate covers with pictorial cachets, many from obscure first flights e.g. Fort Chipewyan to Fort McMurray, Fort Fitzgerald to Fort McMurray, Fort McMurray to Fort Resolution, Fort Providence to Fort McMurray, Fort McMurray to Hay River & various others with North West Territories connections (all the above are 1929) bearing first 5¢ airmail. Most with angled blue, white & red stripes top left corner of cover, some with red & blue arrow "air mail" etiquette. 1931 group incl 2 uprated 1¢ PSE's with 1¢ affixed & 2x 2¢ PSE's with "Commercial Airways Limited" cachets for Athabasca to Fort McMurray & Athabasca to Edmonton & return first flights; Dec 17 Fort Chipewyan to Embarras Portage & return bearing new rate 5¢ + 1¢, as does July 28 cover with strip of 3x 2¢ red coils tied by Vancouver "Observe Sunday" slogan cancel. 1932 items incl Ottawa Conference 3¢ x2, First Airmail surcharged "6¢" & 6 covers with second airmail design ovptd "Ottawa Conference". A couple of covers have foxed perfs but rest fine. (only a few different addressees). (140)
